Mistress Ginger Sings the Kurt Weill Songbook
Berlin to Broadway • 1928 – 1949
with Joey Clark on Piano
Cabaret queen Mistress Ginger delves into the Kurt Weill songbook, exploring dark corners of the human experience, tripping through seedy beer halls, and finding redemption lost in the stars and graced by the moon. With Joey Clark on piano, this evening of musical enchantment features classic songs of Berlin and American theater, including “Mack the Knife,” “Surabaya Johnny,” and “September Song.”
Bewitched by Weill was first presented at the Bryant-Lake Bowl Theater in November 2019. We’re delighted to bring it to the intimate Dunsmore Room at Crooners Supper Club, rated one of the greatest jazz venues in the world by Downbeat Magazine, 2023.
